Gamahea is the name of my imaginary band, or rather my brand.  The "band" itself consists of a wild multiverse of sci-fi lore, which will be explained in due time as I get things sorted out and finished up.

I do many styles and genres of music, so don't lock in your expectations! Pop, Dance, Rock, Folk, Metal, Funk, R&B, Rap/HipHop, Techno/Trance/EBM, Industrial, Metal, Medieval, Classical, Prog Rock, I do it all as inspiration hits me!

Do you make music at Udio, or using a DAW?

Do you write your own lyrics or edit your instrumentals outside of Udio?

Then perhaps your music will find a happy home here!  Gamahea Records only licenses your rights, owning the copyright for a set period of time determined by contract.  When the contract is up, all rights go back to you, the artist!  I'm set up now for global distribution + royalty collection, so you will be SEEN, HEARD, and best of all GET PAID!

AI doesn't cut up songs and mash them together as some out there may believe.  Nope.  It deeply analyzes every aspect of music, from the notes chosen and how they're arranged to the frequencies themselves being used, the rhyme scheme and vocal qualities, the various qualities of the instruments themselves.  AI learns HOW music is made, and makes NEW music.  AI music is based on pattern recognition.  Don't confuse it with sampling.  Besides, when was the last time you heard a song and thought "I wonder what software they used to make this?"  AI or not, most songs are made with software these days.  Does it matter, as long as it's enjoyable?  I think not.

The ONLY kind of music this label will NOT accept is music that is 100% AI and too generic to distribute (distributors hate 100% AI music), or music that directly promotes/encourages child abuse, drug abuse, or uses excessively explicit sexual lyrics.  I'm a Christian, and this is a "friendly" label, so I have to draw a line somewhere.  I'm sure you understand. Most music is acceptable as long as AI isn't writing your lyrics for you.

As for the direct promotion of that other stuff, I'll leave that in the mainstream.  We don't need it here.  We're here to have fun and sell some music and merch!  I'm here specifically to help myself and others to grow as artists and musicians while also helping ensure we profit from our work.

Who will be the 2nd artist to sign to my label?

I will know soon enough!  I already have potential candidates, but I will test everything by first signing my own band to the label and making sure everything goes smoothly.  I'll work out all the bugs before I ever sign others, to ensure the process is ready to go, and deal with any problems ahead of time. I've already squashed many bugs in this process as I get things streamlined and refined. Aside from minor setbacks and a busy schedule, things are now moving along nicely, and I will be able to sign on others within a couple more months if all goes well.

As of December 5, 2024, Gamahea Records llc is OFFICIAL!  I have one album released so far (Tales of Woe & Wonder).  That was simply a test run to teach myself the things involved in distribution.

I did no marketing or promotion of it whatsoever.

I simply was in a hurry to learn the ropes, and now I'm ready to release ALL of my music into the world!  I'll finish up what I can this month, but expect a lot of music coming out in May!

I'm now getting licensing deals as well (22 so far), so thinks are starting to really get interesting around here!  I'm looking into automation of as much as I can of the business side of things, and will also be adding some neat web apps and games here for you to mess around with.
