Gamahea is the name of my imaginary band.  There, I said it!  I make music using AI found at Udio.com. I also work with Cakewalk, Ableton, and FL Studio.

I've made a ton of music over the last year or so, and it's about time I start releasing it!

To that end, I found a maze of stuff indie artists must go thru to ensure they get fully paid and get the greatest possible exposure to their potential audience.

So after a few months of online research, I came to the conclusion that I needed to form a record label.

Being with a label is really the best way for an artist to get their music out there and receive payment in the form of royalties.  It also provides protection from nasty types who want to sue.

AI musicians need representation within the industry.  They, like any artist, deserve to be paid for their work and have it on display for the world to appreciate.  That's what Gamahea Records is all about.

I plan to offer a full range of services, although I'm just starting out and using my day job to pay for it all.

I'm not a rich man by any means, so the struggle has indeed been real.

(Suno and other AI music generators aside from Udio are not acceptable at this time.)

Because artists signed with me won't require touring, a recording studio, or cash advances (which I may offer in the future if all goes well), it cuts down a great deal on the overall expenses of running a label.

This allows me to focus more on the business and helping myself and other artists to get our music out to a global audience and get paid for it in the process.

Click the Artists drop-down menu to find our signed artists' pages.  For now, it's just me, as I get things set up.  I'm at nearly 500 songs total now as of April, 2025, and I make music almost daily!

I now have over 50,000 unpublished clips, which will end up in royalty-free beat packs, which I will have an entire section for on this site.

I allow listeners to hear my music for free on Udio, knowing that the mastered tracks will be better, have better cover art, and will be available for direct purchase or for streaming via the various music platforms.

I'm not honestly counting on my music making me rich, or developing a massive fanbase.  I do have multiple income streams planned for the label, including beat packs, licensing deals, ghostwriting services and other services.  It will of course take me some time to get all of this set up and arranged.

I'm simply too busy having a day job and no funding.  Hopefully, an IndieGoGo campaign will help.

I allow free listens to all of my raw, unmastered tracks in hopes the fans will buy the improved / mastered versions.  This choice will be up to the artists who sign with me.  If they wish to release a sampler instead of doing as I have done, that's totally fine!  All my signed artists will have complete creative freedom!

Also, I will use a "pay what you can" pricing strategy, which can help fight piracy, and also serve to get the music out to the listeners faster and to a wider audience.  Not everyone can afford $10 or $20 for an album.  Some can afford less, some will pay more simply to show support.  This pricing strategy will be an option available to signed artists, but by no means required.  Artists will be able to choose their own pricing for their albums and singles, although a minimum price must be followed for print-on-demand merch, CDs, and Vinyl in order to cover production cost of the items.  I've also found that BandCamp has a preferred (or suggested) price range for albums.  I may go cheaper just to actually get some sales as I'm only still just getting started.
